Have you started yet?
Do you normally make a list of what you would like to buy/make, or do you just pick up things as you see them?
How many people are on your list this year?

i thought of making a recipe book for some family but remembered I already did that. I might do some baking for family but not sure. I was just thinking about christmas this evening (I've had a lot of time to think tonight) and I think I spent most of my time crying. Christmas is going to be very tight this year. If we can squeeze in a couple of gifts we will be lucky.

I think homemade gifts are just as nice as store bought, if not better.
I bought 5 pieces of Fiestaware for under $50. That's 5 gifts. I got two pie plates, and 3 utility jam jars. I'm going to make pies in the pie plates, and fill the jam jars with sugar scrub. The girls want to make bath fizzies to go along with the sugar scrubs.
We have a lot of homemade gifts in mind. The girls want to make bracelets, barrettes, and head bands for their cousin. They also want to make some duct tape crafts for another cousin. He's a big ND fan, so we're going to pick up some ND duct tape. I'm hoping to make him some ND pj pants too. I'm not a seamstress, so we'll see how that goes. Then maybe we'll get him a gc to the ND store.
I would like to make pj pants for the girls too, and maybe some holiday themed pillow cases.

I read ND as North Dakota
We usually buy gifts. I think about cool things I can make, but then never do it.

Home baking is always a cheap and welcome gift Sarah. I found some square plastic storage tubs for £1 each in the Post Office (of all places) yesterday. They had summery coloured lids but would be perfect as containers for home-made cookies, soaps or bath bombs.
I like to make things for the adults, but unfortunately all the kids have their gift-lists presented to us by their parents, and we have to pick what we're going to give them.

I've been buying things as I've seen them any time there's a bargain. In the next week or two, I'll do an inventory and see whose gifts I still need. Some gifts will be handmade (parents and inlaws for sure, probably others too) and there will be a few more to buy.

Can I just bury my head in the sand and pretend its like 6 months away? Not organised in the slightest. With two girls abroad it makes it even more challenging

I started with the girls as I come across certain things they would like. I want to do it early this year so I don't have to freak out at the last minute. I want to concentrate on baking the week before Christmas.

I usually have a better head start by now. I did buy the first thing today, I was in Marshall's with the kids and DS saw some headphones he just "had" to have. I had to run back out later anyway, so I went back and bought them for him. So I guess I've officially started

it is my intention to start early this year I'm thinking I will do most of my shopping online and have Christmas delivered to my doorstep. I've done it once before, bought EVERYTHING on Amazon and it all came in 2 boxes ready to go... it was GREAT!

I went to an Usborne party last week, it was fun and I ordered a couple books that I think will be great distractions for the fall break road trip coming up.

I started mine last week when I ordered something for my husband from the internet.
Starting lay-a-way in a few days.
Have to buy for 4 kids, 4 adults and we'll get each other something.

My sister sells Usborne, she goes up your way all the time for parties if you're interested.
