I pick up my new close-work glasses next week. They're nice; Karen Millen, purple with roses on them. They aren't my colours, but they match my scrap room.

Why did you get frames that weren't your colors? lol
I think my dh needs some cheaters. He'll probably just pick some up from a pharmacy. That's what his dad uses. He said it's getting harder for him to read driver's licenses.

Well I'll only use them in my craft room, and both DH (whose judgement I trust) and the shop assistant said that those suited me the best. There weren't any others in the same shape, and I didn't find any others that I liked. They're not bad, almost my colour. Not bright. Just a bit different.
I'll post pics when I get them next weekend.

Jen, my parents pick up glasses at the dollar store and Walmart, that way when they lose them it's not a big deal

I'm not planning to lose mine.
I don't know Kim. I don't need them to read, only to find those stray bits of glitter or close craft work. I might wear them to see the nephew so he doesn't shove things in my face!

Kim, my problem is seeing anything close to my face. I'm long-sighted. My eyes really hurt when I try to see close up, but by "close up" I'm talking about closer than about 8". Tiny writing is fine. I was reading the smallest writing without any problems, and the smallest letters on the chart.
