Original question: no, I don't fudge on telling the truth about how much things cost. Now that we have only one income between us, I check all unusual costs with DH before I buy. If it's too much, I don't spend the money.
Last week the credit card bill came in for Christmas and he was worried. As a consequence I'm not getting my hair cut this month or ordering the purse he found for me on-line to replace my broken one. I have others I can use. And my hair is a mess whatever I do with it!
We haven't had expensive pets, ever. But to me a pet is part of the family, so if it needed something (and I don't mean a haircut!) then its needs come before mine.
What does your doggie need Kim?
