Should be interesting because from what studies show, more time is not the answer. I am going to say something un politically correct here so feel free to flame away. The haves are having to pay once again for the have nots. I am getting tired of the Nanny State.
In this case, it's not just about money/paying for it... those who don't need the extra time (which, as we agree, is not the answer) are having to suffer for those who do.
And if they're going to spend more money anyway (that we don't have) then it needs to go for more support and smaller classrooms/groups with more hands-on learning, not longer time in a classroom.
Why is it the higher up the food chain you go, they seem to be stupider and more wasteful?? (This is a more general statement across the board in all areas of government and administration.)
