Your pages are great! They are well-balanced, and you have good colour sense.
The only thing I would add is what I say to all beginners - journalling. You could tell a whole funny story, or you could stick to the bare basics, or anything in between. But at the very least, you really need the 4 Ws: Who, When, Where and What: "Jane Smith at Holly House, Smartville, for Aunt Jemima's birthday 23/1/2012".
I believe that is important, because no matter how much I think I'll remember, I just don't. And future generations may use the albums as their family history books, and they won't know.
