Watching the Olympics   (172 views) Thursday, 14 August 2008
DH's week at home was short and sweet, but now he's gone back off-shore again, for a week. Last time they said "a week" it was nearly 5, but hey, why get upset over a mere technicality? He came home about 7lbs lighter, all pale with purple shadows under his eyes. Dr DW said he had a virus and gave him some stuff to take, and he did look better by the time he had to fly off again. I hope he doesn't over-do things while he's away.

Meanwhile we're staying in Singapore in the same apartment, thank goodness, and I can watch the Olympics while I'm cleaning and doing laundry. I'm recording the Archery for DH. He was in the Junior Olympics Team in 1992, then he managed to break his thumb just before and had to pull out.  So we had a lot of commentary about how the equipment's different, the rules have changed, and is that a CAMERA in the MIDDLE of the target?! And thank goodness they seem to have evicted the irritating little s*** who was blowing a whistle all through the Preliminaries. Honestly, some people.

On a similar sporting note, we've got our tickets for the first ever Formula 1 night race in Singapore in September! My brother's coming out for it (well he says he is, but he's another 11th hour person) - I can't wait!

So no scrapping lately, but I have a few cards to make so keep an eye on the Gallery...
