So it has been a hectic week at work. One of our office managers has been out for six weeks recovering from hip replacement surgery and I have been helping cover for her while trying to keep up on my normal responsibilites. Friday was crazy and I was an hour late getting home from work and I was frantic because I had to be at my brother's football game by 7:30pm. But, I decided to check my home email anyways since I hadn't since Tuesday.
So I go downstairs to my scraproom and bring up Outlook and start sifting through my In Box - some junk email, scrapbook newletters and product offers, an email from my aunt about her upcoming visit, comments on my layouts from SJ, and this email titled "MM LO Call-In" which I though was junk at first but decided to double check. So I opened it and that's when I read, "Congratulations! Your layout, "Grand Teton" has been selected to appear in the March/April Memory Makers magazine Reader Idea Gallery." I started screaming (scaring Chase to death) and jumping up and down chanting, "I'm getting published! I'm getting published!" I called my mom and told her the news and I as soon as Andrew got home I told him too. It was exciting for him because the page that's getting published features a photo he took. After I finally calmed down and got to work right away filling out the paperwork so I could take my layout to the UPS Store the next morning.
To make a good night even better, Kevin's football team finally broke their four-game losing streak and won!
