Okay, so I guess I am going to use this new blog space to jot down thoughts and feelings to use in future journaling. I never really understood "blogging," but from a scrapper's point of view, it makes sense to keep a log of daily life. Lord knows I am horrible about keeping a written diary or journal, so maybe I'll find this tech-savvy option easier to keep up with. We will have to see...

So, today is my 26th birthday. And honestly I feel nothing. I even forgot how old I was turning - I told someone a few days ago I was going to be 25, and my mom, who was with me, looked at me and said "no, you're going to be 26." Is it sad that I've already lost track of how old I am? My mom said that shouldn't happen until I hit 40. If that's the case, I am in trouble. Well, despite my indifferent feeling to my birthday, we are celebrating nonetheless. Tonight, my parents are hosting a small get together for my immediate family and best friend Katie. We are getting carry-out from a favorite Italian restaurant and carrot cake (yum)! Then, on Saturday, Andrew & I are going out to dinner to my favorite restaurant - Russo's. I already got my birthday present a few months ago - a brand spankin' new Canon digital Rebel XT. My parents, in-laws and Andrew all went in on it together. I absolutely love it and it's gotta be one of the best birthday presents I've gotten in a long while. Hopefully, after tonight, I'll feel a little more excited about being 26.
