Well what a crappy weekend. 

First I call my stepdad on Friday...his birthday...and he is too sick to talk on the phone.  He was weak from the radiation and we think that this is a cold gone wild.  He has coldlike symptoms now and its totally kicking his azz.  Either way his surgery on his lung cancer will probably be bumped back again.  He is not eating which is worrying me.  He only had a few spoonfulls of soup on Friday. 

Dh had to work all of Saturday.  We took ds to karate at ten then he was gone shortly after that and didnt get home until midnight.  His company just won a major bid to handle all of the online systems information for the Ontario Health Benefits PLan.  So they all were busy making the systems transfer etc.  Then Sunday you would THINK would be ok.  Nope....he has to wait for a page from work at ten am.  He has to deal with some crap for a while...then its family time right?  Nope....we go to the farmers market and bam...page.  Have to rush the market and head home. 

So ok at this point I am like whatever...weekend is ruined at this point anyhow.  We go home....dh logs into work from home for a while....then I send him and dd out for a few groceries and I clean out the basement with ds.  DH gets home...I cook supper...dd screams the entire meal.....he baths her then he has to leave to go to our friend Anthony's house to load Vista and Office onto his pc.  Anthony is in Greece right now but works from wherever he is so he connects remotely to his home PC.  Anyhow....so I get stuck putting both kids to bed yet again then spend the whole night by myself...again.  I said screw it at about 10:30 and went to bed.  I think he was home by 11:30.  So yeah....I think we spent a grand total of an hour as a family this weekend.

Ok so I am whining and complaining....I am ticked.  I know he made a lot with OT this weekend but it just sucked that we couldn't DO anything this weekend as a family.  The kids only see him for a couple hours a day during the week.  He leaves at 8am and gets home at around 6:15pm and they are in bed by 8.  So weekends we try to squeeze in some time.  

Vent done....lol
